Artist Statement

My Art is inspired by the natural wonders of nature. I enjoy playing with light through Texture, Layering, Organic Shapes and Color.

My Mixed Media work includes traditional mark making tools like pencils, charcoal, oil pastel, chalk, and paint. I also use tools like sticks, paint rollers, discarded paper, junk mail, printmaking, stencils, found objects like recycled packaging items, and my favorite, my fingers.

My goal as an Artist is to create an experience for the viewer that challenges their sense of wonder and imagination through a visual language expressed with vibrant hues, expressive mark making, and organic shapes. I invite them to connect and surrender to the wonders of nature through my unique creative interpretations.
